One step at a time

Truth for the Journey.

The Beaten Path Project exists to point hearts back to the authority of God's Word through daily devotionals, Bible studies, and honest answers to frequently asked questions about Scripture. Our hope is to encourage a deeper understanding of God's truth and a life that reflects it.

The heart behind the name

Why the Beaten Path?

Jesus said that the way to life is narrow, yet many choose the broad road (Matthew 7:13). One of the sobering realities of the Christian life is that it is possible to think we are walking the narrow path while slowly drifting onto the wide one. That drift is rarely dramatic. It happens one compromise, one assumption, one unchecked belief at a time.

The Beaten Path Project exists to help expose that drift. Not with condemnation, but by continually bringing ourselves back to the authority of God's Word. Every teaching, devotional, and Bible study is an invitation to examine our lives in the light of Scripture and ask, "Am I following Christ, or have I simply become comfortable following the crowd?"

The name carries a deeper meaning as well. Jesus was beaten for our transgressions so that He could make a way where there was no way. He walked the path of suffering, bore the wrath we deserved, conquered sin and death, and now calls us to follow Him. We do not create our own path to God. We follow the One who has already gone before us. So, Beaten Path is about more than a name. It is a reminder that the path we are called to walk has already been established by Christ. Our responsibility is not to redefine it, reshape it, or widen it to fit our culture. Our responsibility is to walk faithfully in His footsteps, allowing His Word - not the world - to direct every step. If this ministry accomplishes anything, my prayer is that it would simply leave breadcrumbs guiding people back to Jesus Christ and the truth of His Word.

"I am the way,
the truth, and
the life."
